SQL > startup

SQL > select status from v$instance

3. (optional) rebuild the scott scenario

@? / rdbms/admin/utlsampl.sql

4. Unlock scott account

Unlock using sys user

Sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL > alter user scott identified by tiger unlock
