At present, MVB network debugging and fault troubleshooting, mainly through the instrument to check the network communication waveforms and messages, rely on manual analysis, network quality assessment and fault location. Network assessment and troubleshooting work requires high technical requirements for operators, the evaluation results are not accurate, and the troubleshooting efficiency is low.
In view of the above situation, Beijing Runke General Technology Co., Ltd. successfully developed a MVB intelligent analysis tool-MVB intelligent diagnosis instrument, which realizes the functions of quantitative evaluation of train MVB network quality and automatic fault analysis and location. The design objectives of the product are:

Application scenario
Quality Evaluation of MVB bus
Before the completion of train commissioning and maintenance, it is necessary to confirm whether the quality of the whole vehicle network meets the factory requirements. The debugging and maintenance personnel connect the MVB intelligent diagnosis instrument to the network, import the equipment matching software into the train topology table, and click to start the software diagnosis and analysis function. The software control equipment collects the bus message and waveform information, analyzes the bus and equipment error code and waveform parameters, judges the bus health status, detects whether there is a potential fault, and outputs the evaluation report.
MVB troubleshooting
The train reports the MVB network fault, and the maintenance personnel connect the MVB intelligent diagnosis instrument to the network, use the equipment matching software to import the train configuration information, and click to start the software diagnosis and analysis function. Case 1: MVB network fault detection

After connecting the MVB intelligent diagnosis instrument to the faulty train network, the debugging engineer imports the train configuration information and detects the problem of an equipment with a fault of thirteen cars after analyzing for dozens of seconds. The network returns to normal after replacing the failed device control board. The equipment test results are shown in the following figure:

Case 2: quality evaluation of MVB bus
There is an occasional communication failure of the traction system in a vehicle on the airport line of a certain city. Customers use MVB intelligent diagnostic instrument to access the head car for testing. By collecting the data and physical waveforms of train MVB communication, it is found that there is message loss in 4 vehicle traction (PCE) equipment and 1 vehicle event recorder (EVR) equipment. Among them, the bit error rate of PCE equipment is higher, between 2% and 3%, the bit error rate of EVR equipment is less than 1%. The equipment test results are shown in the following figure:

Product introduction
The MVB intelligent diagnosis instrument evaluates the communication quality of the MVB network by counting the error information of the MVB bus, analyzing the characteristic parameters of the network waveform and combining with the network topology. The equipment can be used to detect the fault location information of the train MVB network and analyze the possible causes of the fault. It can also be used to evaluate the health status of the train MVB network, analyze the network health index and detect potential network faults.
