Xiaobian to share with you how to do Windows hardware conflict, I believe most people still do not know how, so share this article for everyone's reference, I hope you have a lot of harvest after reading this article, let's go to understand it together!
Make sure the device driver is installed only once
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Systems.
2. Click the Device Manager tab and look for duplicate devices.
3. If a device appears twice and only one such device is actually installed, delete each occurrence by right-clicking the duplicate device and clicking Remove wyjc1.tif.
4. Reinstall the drivers for the device.
II. View resource settings
After ensuring that the device appears only once on the Device Manager tab, check its resource settings: On the Device Manager tab of System Properties, double-click the conflicting device, and then click the Resources tab to verify that you are viewing the resource settings wyjc2.tif for the correct device. If the Resources tab does not appear, the device is not using any resources.
III. Is there a hardware conflict of the "system reservation" type?
If the Resources tab displays the Manual Configuration button, the device has conflicts or other problems and is disabled, or the device uses resource settings that work but do not conform to any known configuration. If on the Resources tab you see a resource settings box, determine if there is a hardware conflict of the System Reserved type: on the System Properties Device Manager tab, double-click the conflicting device, and then on the Resources tab, view the Conflicting Device List. If no conflicts are listed under the Conflicting Devices List, there are no hardware conflicts for the device being viewed. At this point, you can restart your computer so that Windows can reconfigure the hardware. Sometimes, even if the resources used by a particular device conflict with the reserved resources of the computer, the conflict is likely to be fine. This resource conflict can be ignored if no other problems arise. If conflicts cause problems with the use of the device, continue with the following workarounds.
Configure one or more devices to use different resources
If two devices are configured to use the same resources, configuring one or both devices to use different resources can resolve hardware conflicts.
1. On the System Properties, Device Manager tab, double-click conflicting devices, and then on the Resources tab, view the Conflicting Devices List to determine which resource settings conflict with other devices.
2. Under Resource Types and Settings, under the resource settings list, double-click the icon next to the setting that conflicts with another resource. If you receive a message stating that you cannot change resource settings until you clear the use automatic settings check box, click ok, clear the use automatic settings check box, and then double-click the icon next to settings again.
3. Scroll through the available asset settings and read the Conflict Information for the various settings. If you find that a setting does not conflict with another device, leave the settings selected in the Values box, click OK, click OK again, close the System Properties dialog box, and restart your computer.
Depending on the type of hardware, you may need to adjust jumpers on your hardware card to match the new settings, or you may need to run a configuration utility provided by your hardware vendor. If the jumper settings on the card are incorrect, the hardware will not work properly after resolving the conflict.
V. Release reserved resource settings
If Conflict Information shows that all settings conflict with other devices, click Cancel in succession to close the System Properties dialog box, and then release the reserved resource settings:
1. On the System Properties, Device Manager tab, double-click Computers.
2. Click the Reserved Resources tab and click the conflicting resource type (Figure 3)wyjc3.tif. If a resource setting is reserved, no device in the system can use it. Reserved resource settings are listed in the Settings box. If this box is blank, this type of setting is not currently retained.
3. Click a specific resource under Settings, click Remove, and then click OK.
VI. Disable equipment that is no longer needed
If one of the conflicting devices is no longer needed, you can disable it to resolve hardware conflicts. If plug-and-play devices are disabled, other devices can automatically acquire their resources. If the disabled device is not plug-and-play, you must remove the device from the Device Management hardware list and remove it from your computer to free up the resources it consumes. Therefore, before disabling a device that is no longer needed, it should be determined whether the device can be "plug-and-play."
(i) Identification of equipment "plug and play":
1. On the Device Manager tab of System Properties, double-click the device you want to disable.
2. On the Assets tab, look for the Manual Configuration button. If this button appears, it indicates that the device is capable of "plug and play."
3. Click OK to return to the Device Manager tab.
(ii) Disable "plug and play" devices:
1. On the Device Manager tab, double-click the device.
2. Under Usage of device, click to select the Disable in this hardware profile check box (Figure 4)wyjc4.tif, click OK, and then click OK again.
3. If prompted to restart your computer, restart it. If you are not prompted to restart your computer, click OK, close the System Properties dialog box, and restart your computer.
(iii) Prohibition of non-plug and play equipment:
1. On the Device Manager tab, click the device you want to disable, and then click Remove.
2. Click OK.
3. Restart your computer.
