SwitchGlass for Mac is a simple and efficient quick startup tool for system use. With the SwitchGlass Mac version, you can customize the appearance, size and location of each connected monitor, including hiding it on the selected monitor.
Introduction to SwitchGlass Mac version of software
SwitchGlass adds a dedicated application switch to Mac. You can customize the appearance, size, and location of each connected monitor, including hiding it on the selected monitor. Use it to put one or all of the windows in your application at the front, or to use it as a drag-and-drop target for opening files.
Functional features of the application quick launch tool
The following application switch properties can be customized for each connected monitor:
Visibility-permanently hide, show or automatically hide the application switcher. Auto hide keeps the application switch hidden until the mouse cursor touches the edge of the screen.
Location-move the application switch to one of eight different locations on each screen.
Direction-the switcher will be applied horizontally or vertically at the specified position.
Material-change the appearance of the application switcher background to one of four possible options (see screenshot above), including a mode that automatically matches the appearance of the system (for example, dark when dark mode is activated, otherwise bright).
Corner style and Radius-choose from three corner styles: square, circular or "arc" ("continuous" fillet corner style). The corner radius can also be adjusted.
Icon size-resizes the application icon in the switch from 16:00 to 256 points.
Icon fill-adjusts the fill between icons from 0% of the configured icon size to 100%.
Margin-adjusts the space around the application switch.
In addition, you can customize the following global settings: application sort order-sorts applications by name or startup order (descending or ascending). Menu bar icon-choose from three possible menu bar icons.
Application exclusion-Select applications that will never appear in the application switch.
The following is how the application switch works in its default configuration:
Click an application icon to place all windows of the application at the front.
Hold down the Shift key while clicking an application icon so that only one window of the application is at the front.
Before putting the clicked application first, press and hold the option key while clicking the application icon to hide the current application. (hold down the option key and click the currently active application to hide it. )
When you click an application icon, hold down the Option and shift keys to hide the current application, and then move only one window from the clicked application to the front. (Option + click the currently active application to hide it. )
Right-click (or Control-click) the application icon to activate the context menu from which you can perform any supported actions (described below).
Drag one or more files or folders onto the application icon to open these projects using the application.
Hold down the Command key while clicking the application icon to display the application in Finder. Click and Shift click actions are configurable. Each can be set to any of the following actions: show all windows-activate the application and put all its windows at the front. Activate-activates the application and puts a single window at the front.
Reopen-activate the application in a way that triggers its "reopen" handler. Applications can choose to do whatever they want in response to the "reopen" operation, but most applications put a single window at the front, and if not, open a new window (or minimize one from the Dock).
Reopen and show all-the same as reopen, except that SwitchGlass moves the windows of all applications to the front after sending the reopen operation.
