The most direct and simple way to run monkey on ios applications is to use the built-in tool instruments--automation (UI AUtoMonkey) on xcode

The methods are as follows:

Connect a real machine, or use a simulator

2. Under the xcode menu, click Product-- Profile to automatically install the Appdebug package of the project to the simulator or connected real machine

3. Select automation in the pop-up box:

Open the running interface, as shown in the following figure, and make a selection

(device, APP to be tested, monkey using script mode)

5. The monkey script that can be used in the red box (script source: https://github.com/jonathanpenn/ui-auto-monkey):

(copy the content of the script to the red box in the image above, and then click record in the upper left corner of the image to start monkey testing.)

Some of the default events used in the script can be modified and added as needed.

The advantage of this method is that it is easy to use and basic.

Disadvantages: the test results will not be report, so you need to filter the log to check it.
