If you have used Windows to connect to the remote Desktop server, you may find that if you do not do something, the remote Desktop connection will need to log in after a few minutes, and sometimes you still need to reconnect directly. In fact, this problem can be solved by setting up some settings on the remotely connected computer.

Win2008 system:

Start-- > run-- > gpedit.msc

Computer configuration-> Administrative templates-> Windows components-> remote Desktop Services-> remote Desktop session Host-> session time limit

Find the following two options:

Double-click respectively to open these two settings, press the red box below to set the settings, and then confirm to exit.

Win2003 system:

1. Start-> run-- > gpedit.msc

Computer configuration-> Administrative templates-> Windows components-> Terminal Services-> session

As with the 2008 system, the settings "set a time limit for a disconnected session" and "terminate a session when a time limit is reached" are also enabled, and the corresponding options are set to never (same as the interface in figure 2008 above).

2. Start-- > run-- > tscc.msc connection-- > RDP-Tcp right-click property-- > session change the settings of the alternative user settings to never, and never check it.
