XenServer is a server virtualization platform launched by Citrix Company in the United States. It has powerful and rich functions, and has excellent open architecture, performance and storage integration. It is a free virtualization platform based on open source Xen Hypervisor, which introduces multi-server management console XenServer and has strong management capabilities.

The hardware requirements for installing XenServer are as follows: CPU: one or more x86mm 64-bit CPU, minimum 1.5GHz, multicore CPU above 2GHz or faster is recommended. Memory: minimum 2GB, 4GB or more is recommended. Hard disk: local storage (PATA, SATA, SCSI), minimum 46GB, recommended 70GB disk space. Network card: 100Mb/s or faster NIC. 3 、 XenDesktop

1) the requirements for installing XenCenter operating system are as follows:

Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (.NET Framework version numbers are based on .NET 4.6).

The lowest dominant frequency of CPU is 750MHz, and 1GHz or above is recommended.

The minimum memory is 1GB, and 2GB or above is recommended.

The lowest disk space is 100MB.

The Desktop transfer Controller (Desktop Delivery Controller,DDC) is a component of XenDesktop that can be installed separately or together. The controller is installed on a server in the data center and is used to authenticate users, manage assemblies for the user's virtual desktop environment, and connect proxy users and their virtual desktops. It controls the state of the desktop and manages the configuration to start and stop them as needed. The Profile Management can also manage user personalization in a physical Windows environment.

IV. Problem analysis

XenServer server configuration requirements are not too high, processor requirements are one or more 64-bit x86 x86CPU, the lowest main frequency 1.5GHz; memory requirements as low as 2GB; hard disk locally connected storage (PATA, SATA, SCSI), the minimum disk space is 46GB; gigabit network card. Because the virtual machine is running on the server, it is recommended that the resource configuration should be appropriately adjusted according to the application scale in the actual production environment.

5. Case implementation 1. Create a new XenServer:

Select a typical installation and click next

Select to install the operating system later, and click next

Select Linux operating system, version select Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 version, and click next

Edit the virtual machine name, browse the installation location, and click next
