Unable to start after the Kali Linux update resolved on January 3rd, Kali Linux introduced the upgrade version 240-2 of the systemd component from the upstream Debian. Once this version is updated, it may cause the system not to boot and go directly to the (initramfs) command line. This is due to the existence of bug in version 240-2. The introduction of a new 240-4 version on January 14th can already solve the problem. As long as you update Kali Linux now, this problem will not occur.
