Apple plans to add another LCD-based iPhone to its lineup by the end of this year or early 2021, according to a new report released by DigiTimes based on supply chain information. It is reported that the new member will be an upgraded version of the upcoming iPhone. The upcoming iPhone 9 will have a larger display.

Apple hasn't finished the design yet, but it is believed to have narrowed it down to only two potential options. According to reports, the first option includes a large 5.5inch phone display, which may be paired with a thick frame and a touch ID home button, while the second option surrounds a higher 6.1inch screen (it may have a thinner frame and gap).

As a result, these messages indicate that Apple is deciding whether a revised version of iPhone 8 Plus intends to replace the current version of iPhone XR. Brand and price information has not yet been announced, but the model can be called the iPhone 9 Plus, and the price is $499.

Maybe it's a little different from touching ID.

DigiTimes doesn't have the best record for reporting Apple vulnerabilities, but today's report is likely to be accurate. This is because famous analyst Guo Ming published similar findings a month ago. Although he did not mention that he might make his debut this year, he said Apple's goal was a release schedule for the first quarter of 2021.

Xiaoguo believes that the iPhone 9 Plus will have a full-screen design, integrated with iPhone XR-like borders and redesigned slots, much smaller than existing slots. The reason for the latter is that Apple plans to abandon its expensive mobile phone Face ID system in favor of a touch logo integrated into the side power button.

Little is known about the specifications that phones will bring, but configurations like iPhone 9 seem very likely. For reference, the latter should have a new A13 Bionic chipset and a good 3GB RAM.

However, considering that DigiTimes claims the phone is an updated version of iPhone 9, Apple may also replace the A13 Bionic with the A14 Bionic, which will be launched in the iPhone 12 series.

Once the iPhone 9 Plus is released, Apple will have a fairly stable lineup of phones, covering almost every price range from $399 to more than $1000. The appearance is as follows:

IPhone 9 4.7-inch LCD screen, thick frame, touch ID. A13 bionic and 3GB memory should be equipped with a single rear camera. It will replace the iPhone 8 series with a retail price of $399, the report said.

Iphone9 plus: 5.5gram 6.1-inch LCD with ultra-thin frame and touch ID. There are expected to be 3GB RAM and A13 bionic rear cameras or A14 bionic rear cameras. The price of $499 is very likely.

IPhone 11: 6.1inch LCD with Face ID and dual camera settings. The Apple A13 Bionic powers the phone and retails for $599 at the beginning of 2021.

IPhone 12 and 12 Plus: compact 5.4in and 6.1in OLED displays with Face ID and dual camera settings. Apple's new A14 Bionic will no doubt power the phone, which could cost between $649 and $749.
