For the latest "shoot on iPhone" campaign, Apple is inviting iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max users to submit photos taken using the macro feature of these phones.

Apple's long-running "Shot on iPhone" marketing campaign will continue with a new macro-only challenge that will last until February 16, 2022.

"some of the most impressive examples of macro photography are shots that look like everyday objects, such as hairbrushes, food, or natural objects such as ice, snow, feathers, flowers, insects or pets," Apple said in its announcement. "the beauty of macro photography is that it can turn ordinary into extraordinary."

From January 25, 2022 to the deadline, users of iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max are invited to submit photos to participate in the challenge. High-resolution images can be sent to Apple via email, but the company wants users to post their photos online.

Apple's detailed description of the file name seems to require users to upload to both Instagram and Twitter. However, it also says Weibo users can participate.

No matter what platform or whether the image is sent to the company by email or not, Apple asks users to name the iPhone model they use. In addition, all online submissions must be marked # shotoniPhone and # iPhonemacrochallenge at the same time.

After the deadline, a panel of 10 professional photographers and Apple employees will select up to 10 winners. These award-winning pictures may then be used online, on billboards and in Apple Store stores.

Having previously tried to obtain such marketing materials for free, Apple reiterated its "firm belief that artists should be compensated. 10 winners will receive unspecified license fees for the use of their work.
