The upcoming Galaxy S10 Compact and Galaxy Note Compact versions were expected to be released early later this month, but a new report from 91Mobiles claimed that Samsung had delayed the announcement.

The two phones are expected to be released in January.

The South Korean company is preparing to launch Lite-branded smartphones at an event in mid-January, according to "insiders" familiar with the matter. You should receive a call before extending availability to the global market.

To refresh your memory a little bit, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will actually be released as a renamed version of Galaxy A91. The latter should be available in other markets where midrange smartphones are most popular, such as Samsung, and the US and Europe may see the phone as a cheaper flagship product.

It is expected to be equipped with a large 6.7-inch display with a central hole. The latter is reported to be the home of a 32 million-pixel camera with a thin frame and a slightly thick chin. As for the back of the smartphone, the leaked rendering points to a corner of the rectangular camera module, which includes a 48 million-pixel main camera, a 12-pixel 5x optical zoom shooter and a 12-pixel ultra-wide-angle alternative. Samsung may also include a 5 million pixel depth sensor, but this has not been confirmed.

Galaxy Note 10 Lite is expected to be released as Galaxy A81 in some markets. From the front, the phone looks almost identical to the Galaxy S10 Lite, but on the back, it is equipped with a square camera module. It is not clear what sensors are being prepared, but there are rumors that there will be a total of three. Other distinctive external factors include the presence of a 3.5mm headphone Jack and support for Samsung's useful S Pen stylus.

The inner aspect of things is that the difference between Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite becomes more obvious. This is because the former will be driven by the very fast Snapdragon 855 built into Galaxy S10, while the latter will reportedly adapt to Samsung's slower and older Exynos 9810 in Galaxy Note 9.

Both smartphones are expected to benefit from 128GB's internal storage space, but only 6GB's RAM can be a model for the Note brand. On the other hand, the Galaxy S10 Lite should come standard with 8GB RAM. Both products are expected to support MicroSD cards.

Samsung's new Lite-branded devices are expected to offer Android 10 and One UI 2.0 immediately. The Galaxy S10 Lite will support 4500 mAh batteries and 45W fast charging, while the Galaxy Note 10 Lite will support smaller batteries (probably around 4300 mAh) and 25W fast charging.

For those interested in pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite may sell for around 650 euros in Europe, which is 100 euros cheaper than the 5G Galaxy A90. The latter has many of the same specifications, replacing the less expensive popular Galaxy A80. As for Galaxy Note 10 Lite, it may be around 500-550 euros at this stage. If Samsung chooses to sell the Galaxy S10 Lite and the Note 10 Lite, the prices will be $600 and $450-$500, respectively.
