The mysqldump client tool can perform logical backups, producing a series of SQL statements that can be executed. This tool allows you to backup one or more MySQL databases. The mysqldump command can also generate output files in CSV, delimiter, or XML format.

--Common parameters

--help, -? display help

--user=user_name, -u user_name The user name to use when connecting to MySQL servers

--password[=password], -p[password] Password to use when connecting to MySQL server; no spaces between-p and password when using short argument-p with plaintext password.

--socket=path, -S path Socket file used by Unix systems when connecting to a local server, or named pipe used by Windows systems

--host=host_name, -h host_name The host on which the MySQL server resides. The default host is the local server.

--port=port_num, -P port_num TCP/IP port number used for connection

--databases, -B Backup multiple databases

--all-databases, -A Backup all tables in all databases

--tab=dir_name, -T dir_name Backup tab-separated text format data files

--fields-terminated-by Field separator for exported file, used with--tab parameter

--fields-escaped-by field wrappers for exported files, used with the--tab parameter

--default-character-set=charset_name Specifies the default character set

--tables overwrite--databases or -B parameter, backup the data out of the table

--where='where_condition', -w 'where_condition'Exports only rows that match the specified WHERE condition

For example:
