Recently, due to the construction of DB2 HADR, we need to sftp a large database backup from primary db server to Auxiliary db server, the network transfer speed is very slow, a file transfer is estimated to take 3 days, just want to split this large database backup file into multiple small files, and then multiple files are transferred together.

Split-b 200m ${filename} ${filename} _ part

Ls-l ${filename} _ part* | sort-k 9 | awk'{print$9}'> fileparts.list

Scp ${partname} targetserver:/db/db2inst1/db2backup &

Sleep 5

Done

In 3 hours, the data transfer is complete, and then the file is assembled into the original large file using the cat command in Auxiliary db server.
