There are some problems encountered in the process of using QTP. Here is a summary.

First, the QTP11 has just been installed without cracking, and the QTP11 cannot be used for a long time after cracking. It will remind the license to expire after 30 days of use, and OK as long as the term of use is extended.

Here are some ways to resolve license expiration:

1. Create a License Manager folder under the C:\ Program Files\ Common Files\ Mercury Interactive path

2. Run mgn-mqt82.exe

3. Find C:\ Program Files\ Common Files\ Mercury Interactive\ License Manager\ lservrc and cut it somewhere else.

4. Open lservrc and select one of the licenses from the beginning to the end

5. Run QTP, install the license, copy the selected license in lservrc to the license input box, and then finish the next step.

6. Find C:\ ProgramData\ SafeNet Sentinel and delete

7. Locate the bin subdirectory under the QTP11 installation directory, such as C:\ Program Files (x86)\ HP\ QuickTest Professional\ bin, and execute instdemo.exe with administrator privileges.

8. Restart QTP,OK!

2. After QTP is installed, there is no response when you click the record button when recording the script. At the same time, the run and stop buttons are not available, and the script is not generated.

It seems that this problem can only be reinstalled once after completely uninstalling QTP. (there may be other ways, but this is the only one I found online.) here is how to uninstall QTP completely:

1. Uninstall QTP along with update in the control panel

2. Delete the installed directory files as clean as possible.

3. Locate the folder C:\ ProgramData\ SafeNet Sentinel and delete it

4. Find the folder C:\ ProgramData\ HP\ and delete it.

5. If C:\ Users\ aa\ AppData\ Local\ VirtualStore\ Program Files\ HP\ QuickTest Professional\ bin exists

\ wrls_ins.ini this file, and no other HP software is installed. It is recommended to delete the HP folder.

6. Find the file C:\ Users\ aa\ AppData\ Local\ Temp and delete the QTP-related files (write the QTP-related files in Temp)

7. Enter the registry, delete the relevant registry of QTP, and then delete

3. In Win7 system and IE9 environment, when recording with QTP, the browser always reports an error and closes automatically. Without QTP recording, the browser opens normally.

Solution: it seems that this problem is because QTP11 does not support IE9 browsers, just download and install the patch for QTP-QTPWEB_
