Mageia project team plans to release the second Beta version of the Mageia 7 Linux release this weekend, and the official version is expected to be released by the end of this year. Three months after the last Beta release, Mageia 7 Beta 2 introduced the latest Linux Kernel 4.20 kernel, candidate versions of the Mesa 19.0 graphics stack, RPM 4.14.2 system-level installation package manager, and KDE Plasma 5.14.2, GNOME 3.30 and Xfce 4.13.4 desktop environments.

Mageia 7 beta 2 also includes Mozilla Firefox 64.0 and Chromium 70 Web browsers, as well as the recently released LibreOffice 6.2 office suite. Various programming languages have also been updated in this new development release, and AppStream metadata support has been enhanced to get a richer software selection experience in KDE Plasma and GNOME.

Mageia 7 beta 2 better supports laptops with Nvidia Optimus GPU switching technology, better supports ARM devices, and fixes a large number of BUG and security vulnerabilities. You can see a list of components updated for the Beta 1 version in the idx file of the ISO image.
