Tool download:

Installation instructions for the Unix operating system:

3. Execute the decompression command

4. Run the. / rda.sh-c test under the extracted directory to see if it is normal.

5. The use of RDA

In the Unix operating system, oracle recommends that it be executed under the database creation user (usually the oracle user)

The first time you use it, you need to make an initial configuration of collection.

Execute the command:

. / rda.sh-S

After executing the command, there will be a guided interface that allows you to complete the initial configuration based on the actual product installed in the current database. After the configuration is completed, the configuration files setup.cfg and setup.bak will be generated in the rda directory. If you need to adjust the configuration parameters, you can modify the file directly.

After the initial configuration, collect the data and execute the command:

. / rda.sh

If you want to see a detailed collection process, you can execute the command:

. / rda.sh-v

During the collection process, you may be required to enter the password of the relevant user in the database.

After the collection is completed, the report file in zip format and the collection log will be generated under the rda directory according to the initial configuration file. / output/RDA.$machine_name.zip is the default file location.

Extract the file, visit _ _ start.htm, and you can see the details of the collected data.

Points for attention when using:

1. Sometimes the report file in zip format cannot be generated, which is related to whether the client installs the compression tool or not, and the relevant report file needs to be decompressed by itself.

2. If you need to install the generated configuration to collect again, delete the generated report file, and then execute the command:

. / rda.sh-Svf is reset and then execute the acquisition command. / rda.sh-v

six。 Collection data analysis

The report file mainly includes the operating system software, hardware environment, user settings and detailed information of the database (initial parameters, running events, daily monitoring, etc.).

In the daily maintenance, we mainly

1. Pay attention to several statistical information under RDBMS.

Database session related information collected by Sessions and Processes

Wait statistics view of all process events during the entire run of the V$System_Event database instance

Tablespaces database tablespace information (tablespace type, corresponding data file utilization, extensibility, etc.)

Database Files database corresponds to data file information (file location, usage, etc.)

For database objects with Invalid Objects failure, if daily monitoring finds any failure, it needs to be manually recompiled by maintenance personnel.

Database error in daily execution of all errors

In V$System_Event, V$Session_Wait mainly focuses on (buffer busy waits, db file scattered read, db file sequential read, enqueue, free buffer waits, latch free, log file sync, log file paralle write) events.
