Today, when you install 11g rac 11.2.0.1, it appears when you execute root.sh:

[root@rac01 Desktop] # sh / u01/app/11.1.0/grid/root.sh

ORACLE_HOME= / u01/app/11.1.0/grid

Enter the full pathname of the local bin directory: [/ usr/local/bin]:

Copying dbhome to / usr/local/bin...

Copying oraenv to / usr/local/bin...

Copying coraenv to / usr/local/bin...

Creating / etc/oratab file...

Entries will be added to the / etc/oratab file as needed by

Database Configuration Assistant when a database is created

Finished running generic part of root.sh script.

Now product-specific root actions will be performed.

First uninstall the grid software: / u01/app/11.1.0/grid/crs/install/roothas.pl-deconfig-force-verbose

Re-execute the root.sh script

While performing the Adding daemon to inittab step, open a window and execute: / bin/dd if=/var/tmp/.oracle/npohasd of=/dev/null bs=1024 count=1 with the root user.
