Shulou(Shulou.com)06/03 Report--
Doing a system upgrade for the Raspberry Pi is something I've always wanted to do. Time is always not enough, so I haven't touched it for a long time.
Until a few days ago, some brothers in the MVP group asked everyone's github to pay attention to each other. I suddenly remembered the article I wrote before about making offline installation media: haohu.blog.51cto.com/2474833/1858600
Because the files needed to make Windows 10 IoT Core were put on github. I just updated Windows 10 to 1703, and it's time to update Windows 10 IoT Core on my Raspberry Pi. (It is said that there are many new things, such as Cortana~ this, write another one.)
So I took out the tf card, downloaded the ISO, updated NOOBS, and confidently turned on the power of the Raspberry Pi…WT…reported wrong…848…
What about online installation? When he woke up, he successfully installed it at a speed of 0.1M. However, after starting it, it was actually 14393! Is the only way to install IoT Dashboard every time you download it?
First, update the Dashboard app.
Click on "Set up new device" directly, download the new image 15063, and write it to the card.
Always online? I can't... What can I do? I'm desperate too...
First of all, solve the problem of why 14393 is not 15063. Read the journal first.
If the system is installed through NOOBS, it will first run in the Linux Based installation environment, and then boot to the FAT/NTFS file system, so you need to use a system or tool that can read and write the EXT4 partition.
After trying the open source ext2fd (seems to be called this), because I found that Win 10 often failed to eject media, I chose to use another card to boot into the Raspbian system to see logs and copy. Because the copied logs are too messy to read with notepad, you have to read them with ultraedit.
I compared all log files for successful launches of 14393 and 15063:
I found them to be basically identical, in the sense that the upgrade from 14393 to 15063 did not fundamentally change the architecture of the installation. So, what caused the online installation to only install version 14393? Based on previous explorations (although it took a bit of effort to retrieve these points), the partition and OS scripts did not contain the corresponding ISO paths.
So, when I installed NOOBS online, I chose Windows Insider version and failed:
After adjusting the train of thought, I looked down one file at a time and found that after success, there was an isodlurl file that recorded the download URL. Comparing partition_setup.sh script with installtool-output.log, presumably this address link is written dead in installtool.
So I took out the ultraedit... hex file, and found the URL of 14393, and unceremoniously changed it to the URL of 15063:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/? LinkId=821940 -> http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/? LinkId=846058
Boot test again, all the way 0.1M download...... when I was about to fall asleep, I reported wrong again......
The download address is correct, what went wrong? It's almost three in the morning...
Remembering the 7zip used when repackaging installtool, aimlessly unzipping iso with 7zip, and then unzipping msi…Read hash, and read log of 7zip…Could it be that the HASH value of SHA1 for ISO is also written into installtool? I searched ASCII and HEX and found nothing.
I can't sleep. What's the problem? I opened all the script files…Why did I get an error during the ISO download? Why don't you download ISO and install it incorrectly?
I finally found the problem! The original partition script, scratch partition to 800M, the original ISO of 14393 is about 600 M, so it is enough, and now the ISO of 15063 has been about 700 M, decompression estimates can not be put down…
Change the script immediately ~ by the way, change the path of installtool from Microsoft site to local.
At the same time, it also modifies the mirror path in the script accurately. Boot, speed in 1.2M or so, it should be local!
Unplug the network cable, finally, the installation is successful! See the interface of 15063!
Wake up, it's 6:30, 8:00, start the day's meeting, have time to update github again:
