Check and find that the time is the default year 2000, which may not matter to others, but it is not a small problem for us network managers. Most of the time, troubleshooting depends on the logs in the equipment. But if the time is not right, and the time of other devices is sorry, it will be more difficult to troubleshoot, so it is necessary to correct the time.

Generally speaking, the time can be saved, as long as the power is not cut off, the time will not be lost. But at present, the condition of the computer room is limited, and the circuit is not stable. Sometimes when there is a power outage, the server will drain the UPS in a short time, and the time of the second-layer switch will directly become the year 2000.

1. Find a layer 3 device, backbone switch or router in the intranet to serve as a time server, turn on the service, and set the clock layer to 2. The third layer of equipment should be connected to the external network, which is to set up the gateway. Through its update, the clock is updated to the layer 2 switch below.

2. Specify the address of the layer 3 devices set above on the layer 2 switch, on the premise that the two devices can communicate with each other.

Then adjust the time area to + 8, which is to add 8 hours to the time of zone 0. Because Beijing, Tokyo and Hong Kong are all East eight districts.

Clock timezone HK add 08:00:00 HK is a custom time zone name. Add 08:00:00 is an addition of 8 hours to Zone 0, which is equal to Beijing time.
