Scaleway, a cloud computing company, has announced that it will offer Apple M1, Europe's first M1 as a service solution. As part of the subscription payment plan, the new cloud instance will provide Apple fans with an opportunity to experience the impressive performance of its new M1 chip.

Scaleway will deploy a new Apple Mini Farm (running on Apple's silicon M1 chip) in its DC4 data center, located 25 meters underground in a former radiation shelter in central Paris. The French cloud provider promises to get Mac mini M1 up and running in less than five minutes.

M1 access will be offered to users at a price of £0.10 per hour, with a commitment of at least 24 hours. Price, as well as flexibility, can be compared with its industry competitors. "for example, in, MacStadium recently began offering M1 instances, starting at $109 per month to use M1 Mac mini with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space."

Scaleway boasts that its new M1 as a service product will make it easier for customers to test, build, and submit their iOS and macOS applications, and provide them with a completely native Big Sur experience. Mac mini M1 will be equipped with 8GB Unified RAM and 256GB solid state drives to cope with heavy workloads.

A lot of exciting things have happened since the launch of Apple's M1 chip last year. There is also speculation that the hardware may encounter compatibility problems compared with old Apple devices running Intel processors. However, while devices using M1 provide some impressive performance benchmarks, these problems are largely avoided.

Scaleway's Mac Mini M1 is now available and comes standard with 24max 7 support.
