Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--
The main content of this chapter is to explain the implementation of RouterOS static routing.
There are two cases:
1. Single-line static route
two。 Static routes for multiline egress
What is a static route and what are the main functions of a static route?
Static routing is used to tell the router that this IP or this network segment is out of that gateway or interface, so that the router finds that the destination address matches the routing rule and will follow this rule.
1. Single-line static routing
Suppose we have two routers connected, and the requirement is that the PC on both sides can ping each other!
R1 can ping R2 through ping 192.168.0.2
So we want to ping 192.168.12.254, so it's time to add a static route.
First, take a look at the IP configuration of our PC:
At this point, we try to see if the PC can ping each other.
Obviously, it doesn't work, and the network is timed out. We can see what the routing information looks like at this time!
Click IP > Routes
Look at the R1 routing table:
R2 routing table:
At this point, we need to configure static routes!
Configuring a static route tells the router which IP or interface it can send information from.
Because R1 and R2 have directly connected network segments. So we should use the peer IP as the gateway:
R1 configuration
Similarly, the configuration in R2 is as follows:
At this point we are trying to ping on PC.
This is the basic static route.
Static routing in the case of multi-line exit
Suppose we have a multi-line egress and specify an egress for an IP or network segment. What about static routing?
Looking at our topology, we have three public network exits, Telecom, Unicom and PPPOE.
We use PPPOE by default, but what should we do if we want to access the IP to 114.114.114.114 through telecom IP.
Let's first track what our route looks like:
You can see the second one.
The route enters our PPPOE gateway:
At this point, we should only add a static route to the routing table to make it go out to 100.1.1.1.
At this point, let's track the route.
In this way, we have completed a static routing function of multiple lines.
Routers connected to multiple lines need to use such static routes to manually specify the optimal route for data forwarding, which can avoid some problems that the network is unreachable or slow due to different operators.
