How to adjust the mouse cursor speed in Ubuntu? I believe that many inexperienced people are at a loss about this, so this article summarizes the causes and solutions of the problem. Through this article, I hope you can solve this problem.
1. Press the Windows logo key on the keyboard and the Ubuntu desktop will enter "active View" (Activities overview) mode. In this mode, a search box appears at the top of the screen. In order to find and open Ubuntu's "Settings" program, we enter the word "Settings" in the search box as the search keyword. Ubuntu immediately returns a list of programs related to Settings, the first of which is the setup program we are looking for (see figure).
2. At this point, click to start the Settings program. Because the program we are looking for is at the top of the list, you can actually start it by pressing enter. The launched "Settings" program interface is shown in the figure. On the left is the navigation bar of the setting project, and on the right is the specific setting item of each setting project.
3. Because the touchpad settings we are looking for are not displayed in the left navigation bar (because the laptop screen resolution in the picture is low, we cannot display all the settings at once), so you need to scroll down in the left navigation bar (can be achieved by scrolling the mouse wheel; without the mouse, you can also use the touchpad gesture, such as double pointing down).
4. When the navigation bar is scrolled to the bottom, an item called "equipment" is displayed. The adjustment touchpad should be in the "device" project, click to enter its specific settings interface.
5. After entering the setting interface of "device", the navigation bar on the left side of the window will only display items related to "device". At this time, click the "mouse and touchpad" item, and the settings related to the mouse and touchpad will be displayed on the right side of the window, one of which is the slider setting item of "touchpad speed". As you can see, the slide button for this setting item is set in the middle position by default.
6. Use the left mouse button or touch pad to move the "touchpad speed" slide button to the right for a distance. At this time, use the touchpad to move the mouse cursor on the screen and find that it moves much faster. You can move the slide button repeatedly until the touchpad moves the mouse cursor at a speed suitable for daily use.
