Application of Ultra-long distance and Super-large capacity wavelength Division Transmission
Wavelength division multiplexing system 2U+1U equipment is a miniaturized, low-cost, high-speed, large-capacity wavelength division multiplexing transmission system introduced by optical technology; the number of channels can reach 40 waves, the highest rate of single channel is 10Gbit/s, and the total capacity can reach 400Gbit, which can meet the needs of telecom operators for super capacity and ultra-long distance transmission to the greatest extent, and it is the best solution to deal with the shortage of optical cable resources at present. It is not a dream that WDM wavelength division multiplexer + EDFA fiber amplifier + DCM dispersion compensator allows the whole wavelength division multiplexing system to transmit hundreds of gigabytes and hundreds of kilometers.
The main results are as follows: 1. In the aspect of large capacity, the de-wave unit (optical fiber wavelength division multiplexer) can be used, the single channel rate of this unit can reach 10G, the total capacity can reach 480G and can be expanded to 1600G, which can effectively meet the transmission and aggregation needs of metropolitan area large particle business in the new era.

2. There is another problem to be solved in ultra-long distance wavelength division transmission system, that is, the optical power will become smaller after transmission to a certain distance, so how to solve this problem? We can design the scheme like this-- EDFA erbium-doped fiber amplifiers can be installed in the relay room throughout the link, so that the weak optical signal can be amplified by the fiber amplifier equipment, and then it can be transmitted over longer distances.
As shown in the picture above, the configuration of an EDFA fiber amplifier in the relay room can solve the problem that the optical signal is too small and allow it to transmit over longer distances.
3. Technicians all know that an indispensable part of the wavelength division transmission system is the DCM dispersion compensator. For example, a 80KM optical module, no matter how much power, but the transmission distance can only transmit 80KM, not 120KM or farther, this is because its waveform has deviated and broadened. Therefore, in order to make a 80KM module meet the optical power, it is necessary to use DCM dispersion compensator. Only in this way can the broadened waveforms be rearranged and retransmitted.
As shown above, reasonable configuration of DCM dispersion compensator can solve the problem of dispersion. Based on the above, WDM transmission system is composed of wavelength division multiplexer + multi-channel rate OTU service card + EDFA fiber amplifier + DCM dispersion compensator. You can't put it down with ultra-long-distance and large-capacity wavelength division transmission system.
