KaliLinuxNetHunter tutorials enter the third party Recovery and start brushing the machine

two。 Swipe into a third-party Recovery (i.e. TWRP)

TWRP (TeamWin Recovery Project) is a third-party Recovery with full touch screen operation developed by XDA. Support for fun and practical functions such as sliding confirmation. TWRP is the same as CWM, but TWRP is more powerful. Its biggest feature is full touch operation, and the operation is convenient. For example, using CWM Shuangqing or Sanqing or even Siqing is a very troublesome thing. Because users need a point, which is very inconvenient, the convenience of TWRP is reflected at this time. TWRP can check multiple options to finish the work at once without having to clear it one by one. So, here's how to brush into TWRP.

[example 1-3] enter a third-party Recovery (TWRP). The specific steps are as follows:

(1) also turn off the phone, and then use the "volume up key + power button" to enter fastboot mode.

(2) Burn and write the Recovery file to the phone. Previously, you renamed the downloaded Recovery file to recovery.img. And copy it to the Desktop/android-sdk-windows/platform-tools directory. So, you can start burning the file here. Open a command prompt window under Windows and execute the following command:

Cd Desktop/android-sdk-windows/platform-tools

Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

When the burning is complete, press the power manually until the phone is turned off, and then unplug the phone. Next, long press the "volume button + power button" to enter the newly brushed Recovery (TWRP) mode.

3. Start brushing the machine

Now there is an unlocked Bootloader and a Recovery in the user's phone. Next, you can brush the machine. The specific steps are as follows:

(1) long press "Volume Down Button + Power Button" to enter Recovery mode. After successfully entering Recovery mode, the interface shown in figure 1.17 is displayed.

(2) from this interface, we can see that there are eight options to operate. The effect of each option is as follows:

Installation: used to brush into the ROM package.

Cleaning: carrying out double-clear, three-clear, and four-clear operations. To put it simply, it is to clean up the data in the phone.

Backup: used to back up data.

Restore: used to recover data.

Mount: used to mount a system file.

Settings: sets the TWRP operation.

Advanced: advanced options.

Restart: restart the system.

(3) carry out the operation of four cleans. Click the clear button in the interface.

(4) from this interface, you can see that there are two options, namely "Advanced cleanup" and "format Data Partition". Where Advanced cleanup is used to select for cleanup operations, and format Data Partition is used to format data. The data can be formatted here or not. If you have important files on your phone, remember not to click the "format Data Partition" button. Because, it will format the memory card of the phone together. Click the Advanced cleanup button here, and the interface shown in figure 1.19 will be displayed.

(5) Select the partition to be cleared in this interface. The four cleans are carried out here. Before choosing to clear the partition, here are the differences between the next two clearings, three clearings and four clearings. As follows:

Siqing: the most complete removal will remove all the system, cache, user data, etc. Among them, the four clearing options are Dalvik / ART Cache, System, Data and Cache.

Sanqing: less formatting system than Siqing. If users are not sure whether the downloaded ROM package is really available, Sanqing is recommended. In case the downloaded ROM cannot be typed in, it will not fail to boot. Of course, if the user's phone has a bag that can definitely be brushed in as a guarantee, ignore three clearings with four clearances or two clearings. Among them, the three clear options are Dalvik / ART Cache, Data and Cache.

Erqing: also known as Shuangqing. The double clearances here are suitable for direct upgrades, kernel brushing or patch packs of the same ROM. For example, when upgrading from C-RoM V6.2 to V6.3, you can use double cleaning to clean the cache without giving user data and applications to Wipe. This is a little cleaner than brushing it directly. Among them, the double clearing options are Dalvik / ART Cache and Cache. Of course, System can also be selected at this step to make it cleaner.

(6) when checked, swiping the "Slide button below to confirm clear" slider will begin to clear the selected partition.

(7) it can be seen from the interface that the clearance was successful. Next, swipe in the downloaded ROM package in turn. The first step is to make sure that all the packages have been copied on the phone, and if not, use the adb push command to upload the file to the phone. Return to the main interface of Recovery and click the "install" button.

(8) this interface displays all the files under the root directory (/ sdcard). As you can see from this interface, all the ROM packages that need to be typed in have been saved in this directory. For example, first swipe into the SuperSu package. Select the root.zip package in this interface.

(9) the interface displays the information of the ROM package to be brushed in. At this point, the "Slide confirm Brush in" slider under the slide will start brushing the machine.

(10) from this interface, you can see that the ROM package has been brushed successfully. Next, return to the main interface, click the "install" button, and brush into the CM system package. After you have successfully typed in, don't turn it on in a hurry. First, click the clear cache/dalvik button, and then restart the system. Click the clear cache/dalvik button.

(11) the interface prompts you to determine whether you want to clear Cache and Dalvik. At this point, slide the "Slide Button to confirm clear" slider at the bottom, and the cache will be cleared.

From this interface, you can see that the cache was cleared successfully. Next, click the restart system button.

(12) after restarting the phone, you need some basic settings, such as language, network, time, etc. The setup is very simple. After setting up step by step according to the prompts, you can enter the CM13.0 system. Then, set the CM13.0 system to allow USB debug mode, and shut down to enter Recovery mode again.

(13) next, press "Volume Down + Power key" again to re-enter TWRP Recovery mode. Click the "install" button and swipe into the Kali NetHunter kernel, the kernel-nethunter-oneplus1-marshmallow-3.20-20170903-2143.zip package. Note that do not perform any cleanup operations before brushing in.

(14) return to the main interface of Recovery, click the "install" button again, and swipe in Kali NetHunter, that is, the nethunter-generic-armhf-kalifs-full-rolling-3.20-20170903-2143.zip package. Also, do not perform any cleanup operations before brushing in.

(15) after the above two ROM packets are brushed into the system, the whole brushing process is completed. In other words, it has been successfully brushed into NetHunter. After successfully brushing into NetHunter, also perform the default clear (Wipe) operation, and then restart the system. After a successful boot, you will enter the Kali NetHunter system.

(16) from this interface, we can see that we have successfully entered the Kali NetHunter system. At this point, click the Home key and you can see all the installed programs.

(17) the NetHunter program can be seen from this interface, and there is its own penetration testing tool in the program. And Kali also comes with some third-party software, such as cSploit, NetHunter VNC, Router Keygen, Shodan and so on.

(18) from the list of this interface, you can see all the configuration items in NetHunter and the penetration tools that come with it. Such as HID Attacks, Bad USB MITM Attack, Mana Wireless Toolkit and so on. All of these configurations will be described in detail in later chapters.

Tip: the official version is similar to the method above, except that the CM 13.0 is changed to CM 12.1. After restarting the system, you can directly swipe into the official Kali NetHunter package, without the need to swipe into the Kali NetHunter kernel package.
