In June this year, there was a very serious data loss accident in our company. The collapse of the production server led to the stagnation of all business, and because it involved company secrets and could not rush to the data recovery company to recover, but they could not solve it themselves. Weigh the pros and cons or decided to find a company with confidentiality qualifications for recovery, after multi-comparison, chose the North Asia data recovery Center, after a day and night of efforts to finally find the data we need (thank God). When I returned to the company with the recovered data, it was already dawn. I had no time to rest, so I reinstalled the system to go online before 9:00.

It has been a long time since this accident. I have compiled the process of installing the aix6.1 system into a tutorial and shared it with you. I hope it will be helpful to you.

The dividing line of practical goods

First connect the monitor, mouse and keyboard. Power up the mainframe and wait for the fluorescent bar of the mainframe panel to display "OK".

Put the first CD of the AIX 6.1installation disk into the CD-ROM drive and turn on the power switch button on the machine to start the machine.

When the screen displays as follows, press F1 to enter the "system management services" menu interface.

Display the following screen, type "3", press enter, select option 3, and then prompt for the password. The password defaults to "admin".

When the input is complete, enter the following interface

At this point, we need to wait for a while, and then go to the following interface

(note: if "No Operating System Installed" is displayed, the installation CD or CD drive is damaged. It is recommended to replace the CD or CD drive)

The process shown in the figure above requires no action. Just wait and enter the following interface.

Move the mouse to select "English" at this time, and install it in English during the installation process.

(note: "1" is installed in the default mode

"2" to change the installation mode and system settings

"3" to enter system maintenance mode)

Select "1" to reset the installation mode of the system at this time

There are three installation methods to choose from.

-New and Complete Overwrite Installation. (full coverage)

-Migration Installation. (upgrade installation)

-Preservation Installation. (protect installation)

To ensure that a clean operating system is installed, here we choose the first installation method to install the operating system in a new, fully covered way.

(note: if the device does not have an operating system, it will be installed by default in New and Complete Overwrite Installation)

After the selection is completed, enter the following interface

Select the installation location of the operating system in this interface

First enter "1" to cancel the currently selected hard drive

Then enter the hard drive on which you want to install the operating system

Then enter "0" to confirm and save the current selection

(since there is only one hard disk in the author's device, I directly select it as the installation hard disk.)

Return to the following interface when you are finished

Enter "1" to confirm the current settings and start installing the system

Install the operating system at this point and wait for about an hour or so.

Display the above interface, select accept, receive the electronic license of the operating system, and enter the following interface

Option 1 is to set or verify the system date and time

Option 2 is to create an administrator (root user) password

Option 3 to set up a network (TCP/IP) connection

Option 4 to set up the network remote management service

Option 5-bit management software

At this point, we make a choice according to our individual needs. After completion, select "Exit the Configuration Assistant" to enter the following interface

Then select "Finish now, and do not start configuration Assistant When restarting the operatingsystem" to complete the installation and enter the aix operating system login interface.
