1. Clone an existing grid home directory.

Pre-add test

$cluvfy stage-pre nodeadd-n rac4

two。 Execute addNode.sh script

Distribute the grid infrastrunchture binaries on the existing cluster nodes to the nodes to be added to the cluster.

$addNode.sh-silent "CLUSTER_NEW_NODES= {rac4}"CLUSTER_NEW_VIRTUAL_HOSTNAME= {rac4-vip}"

If you configure GNS, you do not need to provide a new node virtual hostname, and GNS automatically assigns the hostname and IP.

3. Install Oracle softwar

The existing node executes, and the shell script addNode.sh in the $ORACLE_HOME/oui/bin directory calls OUI to copy the software to the new node.

Log in to Oracle on any node, set environment variables, and silently call:

$. / addNode.sh-silent "CLUSTER_NEW_NODES= {rac4}"

Finally, execute the root.sh script.

4. Create an instance

Run on the first node to create an instance in the new node

Log in to rac4 as Oracle

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbca

...

Select add Instance,Next

...

Enter the orarac4 instance name and select rac4 as the node name.

During creation, ask if you want to extend the ASM instance to rac4, and select Yes.
