Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--

With the passage of time, 2018 is drawing to a close and 2019 is coming. Whenever it is approaching the end of the year, everyone will make a simple prediction of the development trend of the second year in the light of past events and experience. Today, let's make a few simple predictions about the development in the field of network security (this article only represents my personal point of view):

Trend 1: laws and regulations related to network security will be gradually improved

With the continuous improvement of the national attention to network security, the relevant state departments have continuously improved the laws and regulations on network security. As early as June 1, 2017, China's "Network Security Law" was formally implemented, and the hierarchical protection system is becoming more and more perfect. In 2018, the European Union formally issued the "General data Protection regulations" (GDPR), the protection of data to a higher level. The protection of data will be the general trend, and the protection measures for network security in China's network security market may continue to be improved in 2019.

Trend 2: security and self-control will continue to increase.

In recent years, the topic of autonomous control has been widely mentioned. In order to obtain the "initiative" in the struggle for network security, autonomous control is a very important part. In 2018, the ZTE incident, the Sino-US trade war and the Meng Wanzhou incident undoubtedly sounded the alarm for us, and the national awareness of self-control has also been strengthened. As far as security manufacturers are concerned, it is a general trend that security can be controlled independently.

Trend 3: ransomware attacks will be reduced, but still not allowed to shush.

In the past two years, blackmail software can be said to have exploded. Take the outbreak of Wannycry in May 2017 as an example, which caused huge losses to the global network. The value of virtual currencies, led by Bitcoin, also rose at one point. But the explosive growth of ransomware has taught businesses and individuals and even security manufacturers a hard lesson. People began to attach importance to the defense of racketeering software and strengthen the defense work against racketeering software, and virtual money cannot circulate normally in China through formal channels (not long ago, hackers demanded ransom from the hackers through Wechat transfers).

Although the blackmail software may be reduced, but its harm can not be underestimated, there are signs that the ransomware attack is no longer a "small fuss", but the target of the attack on municipal and medical institutions, once hit will bring serious consequences.

Trend 4: data security protection will continue to be strengthened.

Data is of great significance to enterprises. In 2018, Huazhu and Marriott, the two major groups in the hotel industry, were exposed to data leaks totaling more than 1 billion.

From the previous Yahoo data leak to the Facebook data leak, to Huazhu and Marriott data leak, a data leak incident is undoubtedly a wake-up call for enterprises again and again. With these lessons, I believe that enterprises will increase the protection of data, security threat monitoring, timely security response is very important for enterprises.

Trend 5: the demand for network security protection based on IPv6 will be increased.

As early as November 2017, China issued the Action Plan for promoting the scale deployment of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). According to the requirements, by the end of 2018, the number of active users of IPv6 in China should reach 200 million, and the top 50 commercial websites and applications in China should fully support IPv6. Thus it can be seen that the country attaches great importance to IPv6. With the gradual depletion of IP addresses in IPv4 network, more and more users begin to apply IPv6 network, so the security demand for IPv6 network will surge.
