How to set the linux gateway:

Step 1: log in to our linux server using xshell, which uses centos6.5

Step 2: use route-n to view the routing table of this machine and see that there is no default route on this machine

Step 3: check the local address using ip add. The local address is 192.168.101.2, and the planned gateway is 192.168.101.254.

Step 4: manually add a route

Route add default gw 192.168.101.254 adds a default gateway, and then route-n sees that the route is already in effect

Step 5: use the route add command to add only temporary effect, restart will be lost, need to be written into the configuration file, according to the following configuration can be permanently effective

Vim/etc/sysconfig/network

GATEWAY=192.168.101.254
