PlayStation Network may have just leaked a new Star Wars game. Twitter robot PSN has released an image called Star Wars: project Mavericks with a Star Destroyer in the background, pointing out that the image has been found on the European PlayStation network. It can't be found in any official list, but ResetEra Forum has found evidence of its hidden code in the PlayStation database, which is also outdated, such as the reproduction of "biochemical Evil 3" and "final Fantasy 7".

Back in February, Kotaku reported that EA had cancelled an open-world Star Wars game, which was originally a by-product of the Battlefield series. Kotaku's Jason Schreier pointed out in the report that EA Motive is working on a "smaller, more unusual project" based on the Star Wars universe. According to Schreier's Twitter account, it seems that the Maverick project is the above project.

It is not clear what the Star Wars game will look like, whether it will be a PSVR game, or what time frame will be set, although the presence of Star Destroyers and X-wing fighters after order 66 heralds a trilogy for some time.

Lucasfilm and Disney recently released the "Glow Project," which marks a new republic in the era of the High Republic (about 200 years before the release of the film series).
