1. Remove irrelevant options

2. Turn the NIC to full speed.

Press Win+Pause/Break key, click Hardware tab, click Device Manager to open Device Manager, double click the appropriate NIC under Network Adaptor, click Advanced tab in the open window, select Link Speed/Duplex Mode, and then select 100 Full Mode below it. 5. Automatic login to the local area network

For example, if you want to access a computer named server, the user name is user, and the password is 8888, just write a bat file and enter the following statement: net use serverIPC$ "8888" /user: "user", then drag and drop the bat file into the "Start → Program → Start" group, so that once you boot, the system will log in to the server computer with user as the user name and 8888 as the password, so that you can access the shared folder on it anywhere without entering the user name and password.

If you use Windows XP, you can enter your username and password the first time you open a shared computer, select the "Remember my password" option, and the next time you visit, you won't ask us for a password.

6. Cancel the firewall

if you enable that firewall in Window XP and share the drive, it is possible that others cannot browse the share drive in the "network neighbors". at this time, you can right-click "local connection", select "properties", click "advanced" tab, click "configuration" button, and select "off (not recommended)" item in the open window. Because our local area network computer itself is connected to the router, you can consider setting up a firewall on it. In this way, the machines in the local area network will not be attacked by the outside world, but the machines in the local area network will also access faster.

7. Multi-system fast mutual access

10. Cancel unused network drives

If you mapped a network drive and no longer use it, be sure to open Explorer, click Tools → Disconnect Network Drive, and then cancel the corresponding drive in the window shown in Figure 13. Otherwise, this disk will be automatically mapped every time you start up, which will also occupy more system resources, thus slowing down the access speed of the local area network.

11. Consider shortcuts to access shared folders

If you frequently access a user's shared folder, such as homepcwritingsoft, open homepcwritingsoft in explorer, drag the folder icon from the address bar to the desktop with the mouse, and release it when the cursor becomes linked. To access this folder in the future, simply double-click on the desktop shortcut, rather than going through layers in My Network Places.

12. Type the name of your computer directly

You can quickly access the shared folder by typing the computer or network path to which you want to connect directly into the address bar of Explorer. If you type comp(where comp is the computer name), you go to the computer named comp and you can view its shared folders or files. Enter compshare to go to the share folder on the comp computer.

13. Direct IP access

If you fix the IP of a shared computer, you can access it directly by entering the IP in the Run window, without opening it layer by layer from Neighborhood.
