The system will not retain any settings and data, and the state of the system after installation is the same as that when you bought MAC, all of which need to be reset.

Mac OS X Lion 10.7 file

One 8GU disk.

Methods / steps

Step 1

First, the OS X Lion that you just downloaded from app store will be placed in the Dock at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2

Drag and drop the Mac OS X Lion 10.7 file from Dock to the desktop with the mouse

Step 3

Right-click Mac OS X Lion 10.7 and select Show package contents

Step 4

In the "Contents" folder, enter the "SharedSupport" folder and locate the "InstallESO.dmg" file.

Step 5

Double-click to run the "InstallESD.dmg" file and wait for the load to complete.

Start Finder and enter "applications"-"Utilities"-double-click "disk tools"

Insert a flash drive (at least 8G capacity). Click the U disk name, select "partition", select "1 partition" in the partition layout options, the name is recommended to use the number "1", the format select "Mac OS extension (journal)", and then enter the "options".

The partitioning scheme selects GUID Partition Table. Click OK to return to the partition interface, and click apply to partition and format the U disk.

Select the restore option after the USB disk is formatted. Drag the USB drive "1" that you just formatted to the column on the right side of the destination disk, and then drag "Mac OS X Install ESD" to the column on the right side of the source disk, and click restore.

Click erase in the pop-up prompt.

I'm entering a file into a flash drive. Note: the estimated time is related to the speed of U disk.

After the production of the flash drive is completed, the drive letter of the flash drive has changed from the original "1" to "Mac OS X Install ESD". Next, you can use this USB disk to start and install the Lion system.

Insert the USB disk to boot, press the "option" key for a long time to enter the startup interface, and select × × × "Mac OS X" to guide the system to install.

Select the * × × hard disk icon, Mac OS X, and click the up arrow to proceed to the next step.

Select the language in which you want to use the operating system, and click the right arrow.
