What kind of virtualization strategy should you use? Do you need virtualization? The use of virtualization can have the benefits of simplified management, disaster preparedness and so on.

Note: if you install the system over the network or your computer has 16 gigabytes or more of memory, the system partition also requires additional hard disk space for pages, hibernation, and dump files.

Fresh installation of Windows Server 2016

1. Put the system disk into the optical drive and boot from the optical drive, or boot with other boot mesons; when loading the system CD, you need to press any key to boot from the optical drive

2. Select the installed language (generally keep the default), and select "Next"

3. Select "Install now"

Note: because I download, there is no option to enter the serial number. If it is a retail version, after selecting "Install now", there will be an option for you to enter the serial number. You can enter the serial number you already have or choose "I don't hanve a product key" to skip it.

4. Select the version of the operating system you need to install, and select "Next"; (just select one of the versions, and you will see a description of this version below. )

5. Read the license terms, check the "I accept the license terms" check box, and select "Next"

6. Since we are newly installed, we choose "Custom:Install Windows only (advanced)" here.

7. All the disks or partitions on your server will be listed here. Since this is a new installation, you need to create a new partition. Select "New" to create a new partition.

Refresh: refresh partition

Load driver: the external storage hard drive you added, such as CD-ROM or USB drive

Delete: removes an existing partition from the hard disk

Extend: expand existing partitions

Format: format an existing partition

New: create a new partition on a hard disk

8. Enter the size of the partition you want to create in the "Size" box, and select "Apply". When you select "Apply", a dialog box will pop up to tell you that to ensure that all the functions of Windows are working properly, Windows will create additional partitions for system files, select "OK", and then select "Next".

Note: because this is a test environment, it is divided into only one area. If it is a production environment, it must be divided into two or more partitions, one for the operating system and the other for data

9. If a partition already exists, you can use "Delete and Format" to change the partition

10. You need to wait a while while you are installing. During the installation process, you will restart several times (automatically) until the installation of the system is complete.

11. After the system installation is complete, there will be a custom setting that allows you to set the administrator (Administrator) password. Enter the password twice and select "Finish"

12. Press "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" to unlock when prompted
