Amazon Web Service easily chose a new instance type, which is driven by its second-generation custom ARM CPU-- Gravity 2.

Although cheap cloud servers are cute, they will be useless if the code your business depends on can't run on it. Although a lot of code runs on Arm and Intel does a lot of work in building ecosystems, few enterprise products are ported to Arm, and enterprise products like VMware's ESXi haven't found that customers really like the architecture. If you can save some money, you won't bother those who are addicted to open source software, and you won't go to stores like Netflix for custom development.

Therefore, the launch of EC2 M6g instance is an important milestone for Arm to become an enterprise platform. But this story obviously has a long way to go.
