First of all, to understand what is LPDDR, Hongwang Semiconductor said before, LPDDR is Low Power Double Data Rate SDRAM, is a kind of DDR SDRAM, also known as mDDR (Mobile DDR SDRAM), is the United States JEDEC solid State Technology Association (JEDEC Solid State Technology Association) for low-power memory communication standards, known for low power consumption and small size, specifically for mobile electronic products. The data access speed has been increased by 50%, and there is a lower power consumption, which is more than 20% lower than that of the previous generation, so in any case, the performance and power control performance of the new generation of memory is better, and of course the cost will certainly be higher.

However, there is a lot of controversy about the LPDDR5. Some people say that it is the "standard" of cool techs phones in the 5G era, while others say that it is similar to the LPDDR4X, and the perceptual difference between the two is not strong. Is that true? What is the difference between the two?

Compared with LPDDR4X, LPDDR5 has lower power consumption and voltage, and faster read and write performance, which is a brand-new upgrade, but some people in the industry have revealed that there is no significant difference between LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 in daily experience. Shen Yuren, vice president of OPPO, also said that the new generation of technology is certainly better than the previous generation of technology, but in practical use, we should look more at the actual performance of the whole machine, rather than just looking at the theoretical improvement of technology. In fact, on computers and smartphones, with the exception of low-end computers with just enough performance, almost all the performance limits are not easily perceived in daily use.
