Announcing the OPPO R1S-recently launched an upgraded version of the OPPO R1 with a faster chipset and better camera.

The Oppo R1s looks exactly the same as the R1's predecessor and even has the same footprint and weight. The 5-inch 5-inch 720p IPS display remains unchanged, but the chipset has been upgraded.

The Oppo R1 is powered by MediaTek's MT6582 chipset, quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 processor and Mali-400MP2 GPU, while the newly launched Oppo R1S is powered by the high-core Spapdragon 400 and faster Adrenaline 305 GPU provided by the high-core 1.6GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. Keep the 1GB memory unchanged.

Thanks to the new chipset, the Oppo R1S is powerful but drops dual SIM support. The Oppo R1S offers a camera-more powerful than its predecessor. It has 1300 square meters of sensors instead of 8MP. Its additional features remain the same: --HDR still, panoramic shots, and 1080p video recording.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean based Oppo R1s runs on Oppo Color OS. Starting tomorrow, reservations cost € 290 (CNY 2498). You will be able to choose between white and blue flavors.
