HT temporarily configured a standalone server, Filesvr, and employees wanted to access a shared folder on the server from their computers. And realize the following functions:

Experimental tasks and objectives:

1. Create users and user groups in "Job 2"(only two users can be established for information, sales and financial user groups);

2. Create a shared folder named "share" in drive C, and create a folder named by the group name in the folder, and create a folder named by its own name in each folder;

3. Ensure that employees of each department can only remotely access the contents of their own folders in another computer. For example, the information department can read the contents of the information department folder, but cannot read the contents of the financial department folder;

4. Employees of each department can create any new files and folders under their own folders. The documents created can be renamed as "My Daily Report". The folder contents of other users in this department can be read, but they cannot be modified. The files that have been created cannot be deleted. Only the financial manager can access the special sub-folder of Ke Ke and create files in it. Any other user account cannot access it.

5. Only Wenwen can access the special sub-folder of Finance Department and create files in it. No other user account can access it.

Create a network drive disk mapping for Kevin the manager in the client with the letter "Z:"

Task implementation

1) Take Wenwen of Finance Department as an example, right click Wenwen folder, open Properties, click Security.

2) Click Edit, add Wenwen permission, check Modify and the following permissions.

3) You can read the folder contents of other users in your department, but you cannot modify or delete the files that have been created. This can be achieved by directly inheriting parent permissions. (inherited by default)

4)Give the manager of the finance department the permission of Ke Ke. First remove Ke Ke's permission of inheriting parent item, and click Delete.

5) Add modification permission to KK.

5. Only Wenwen can access and create files in the special subfolder of Finance Department, and no other user account can access it.

1) Modify the permissions of Wenwen folder, delete the inherited parent permissions, and select Delete.

2) Add text permissions.

3) Create a file in it, right-click Properties and open the Security tab.

4) Remove the inherited parent permission, click Delete, and add Wenwen permission.

5) Give the owner permission to the file. Open Advanced in the Security tab and click the Owners tab. Click Edit to open other users and groups.

6) Transfer the owner to Wenwen. Sure.

6. Establish a network drive disk mapping for Manager Kevin in the client, with the mapping letter "Z:" disk.

1) Open Kevin's computer, right-click Network, and click Map Network Drive.

2) Click Browse Folders to select a folder shared on your server.

3) Confirm, complete. Mapping successful.
