For the first time in a long time, Google has provided Pixel phone users with detailed information about what is included in its monthly updates. The timing of Google's disclosure has to do with the search giant starting to release bigger updates through what it calls a "new Pixel feature drop."

The first "feature drops" will roll out this month, and most of the improvements and new features will be aimed at Pixel 4 users, and the old Pixel phones will also make due changes.

For example, older generation Pixels are using the Recorder app, while Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a will get real-time subtitles in the first feature downgrade update. The Digital Benefits app installed on Pixel phones will be updated to focus mode, and the new flip on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will switch to Shh functionality.

Pixel 4 will get the biggest improvement. First, it will have more control over photos, update the Call Screen app, and improve video calling on multiple apps. In addition, Pixel 4 users in the UK, Canada, Ireland, Singapore and Australia will receive a new Google Assistant(English only) to provide a better overall experience.

With Google confirming that all Pixel devices will receive updates to their memory management, it's more flexible than ever and will implement important background changes. Google says the new features are already rolling out in Pixel phones around the world, but it will take weeks to get across to all devices. After getting the Android update, you should go to the Google Play Store to update all the apps that need to be updated before you can use them.
