Xiaobian to share with you how to use RDO to install openstack mitaka on centos7, I believe most people still do not know how, so share this article for your reference, I hope you have a lot of harvest after reading this article, let's go to understand it together!
What is RDO?
Simply put, there is a community of people who are passionate about making openstack work perfectly and smoothly on RHEL and its derivatives (Centos,Fedora,Scientific Linux). So for users who use openstack on Centos/RHEL systems, it's one of the most active communities here. This community supports OpenStack RPM package releases and encourages people to ask questions or contribute to the community website.
What is Packstack?
Packstack is an installation tool that uses puppet applications to deploy openstack. For proof-of-concept (POF) purposes, use Packstack to install and configure openstack on a single machine. This is the easiest and most automatic way to get started with openstack. If you want to use RDO to deploy a production environment on multiple nodes, we recommend using the TripleO tool.
Preparing for deployment of RDO Mitaka
It is important that the following steps are correctly performed, which will lead to some errors during installation.
Hardware requirements:
4 GB memory
Virtualization-enabled processors
one network adapter
As long as the hardware requirements mentioned above are met and the centos system is relatively new (you can also use virtual machines instead of experiments). Next, check whether the system is configured with static IP addresses, and if not, turn off DHCP and configure static IP addresses. After configuring the static IP address, execute the following command to turn it off
NetworkManager service, because this service is not compatible with the openstack neutron service.
systemctl stop NetworkManager.service
systemctl disable NetworkManager.service
systemctl restart network
Selinux needs to be turned off temporarily to avoid some strange errors, and the firewall needs to be turned off (or the port needs to be opened).
setenforce 0
systemctl stop firewalld
systemctl disable firewalld
So far the prerequisites have been basically met, the following installation steps can be carried out
Install Mitaka
Execute the following command to install the RDO library
yum install https://rdoproject.org/repos/rdo-release.rpm
Install CentOS openstack RPM repository
yum install centos-release-openstack-mitaka
Update system package
yum update
Install packstack tool
yum install openstack-packstack
Install openstack Mitaka
packstack --allinone
This step will take some time
