1. When sending logs in ARCH mode, if the password files of the master and backup libraries are inconsistent, after resetting the password files, the master library must be restarted in order to restore the log transfer to normal.

2. When sending logs in LGWR mode, if the password files of the master and backup libraries are inconsistent, after resetting the password files, you only need to restart the main library or restart the backup library to make the log transfer back to normal.

LGWR can not only reduce the possible data loss, but also reduce the probability of restarting the main database. It is recommended to use this method as a means of log delivery.
