After the oracle10g installation is complete, the value of global_name is not only orcl, but also the domain name, and it is very long and difficult to remember. So I thought of a way to change the value of global_name.

Conn / as sysdba

Show parameter global_name

FALSE

Alter system set global_name=true

Update global_name set global_name=orcl

Show parameter global_name

Select * from global_names

I now want to change the value of global_names to something else, and more than one.

Alter system set global_names=TEST1,TEST2,TEST3

Select * from global_names
