We can create the certificate ourselves or apply to Aliyun for one year at a time (the certificate created by ourselves is not trusted), so we applied on Aliyun. Let's download the certificate we applied for, put it in a folder, and decompress it.

Next, we will configure the certificate for RDS, open Server Manager-remote Desktop Services-Overview, click tasks after deployment Overview, and click Edit deployment Properties

Entering the deployment Properties, we can see the high availability settings, RD gateway, RD authorization, RD Web access, certificate, Active Directory, and export location

When we click on "Certificate", we can see that all the roles' certificates are unconfigured.

Select "RD connection Agent-enable single sign-on" and click "Select existing Certificate"

Click Browse and find the certificate of the RD connection agent selected, and then click Open

After copying the password in the extracted file to the password box, check "allow certificates to be added to the trusted root certificate authority certificate store on the target computer", and then click "OK"

At this point, you can see that the status of "RD connection Agent-enable single sign-on" is "ready to apply", and then click "apply"

When the application is complete, we can see that the level of "RD connection Agent-enable single sign-on" is "trusted" and the status is "successful".

The remaining several are configured like this. Different roles choose different certificates. After the configuration is completed, click "OK", so that the certificate configuration is complete.

Note: each newly added role server needs to reconfigure the certificate.
