Principle

When a browser visits a website, it is necessary to resolve the domain name of the website to be visited into a unique IP address through the DNS server before the browser can locate the website and access its data.

The operating system stipulates that before making a DNS request, check to see if there is a mapping between the domain name and IP in its own Hosts file. If so, directly access the network location specified by the IP address, and if not, make a domain name resolution request to the known DNS server. In other words, Hosts has a higher priority for IP parsing than DNS.
