Prerequisites:

Install the Datacenter version of Windows Server2012 R2

Configure the corresponding hostname and IP address

Official installation:

Open the server manager.

Select to add roles and features.

Select role-based or feature-based installation.

Select Active Directory Domain Services and select next installation.

Wait for the installation to complete before opening the server manager to promote the domain controller.

Because we are a newly installed environment, there are no domain forests and domains in the environment. So we select the new forest and fill in the name of the new domain.

Select the forest and domain control level, select the most Windows Server2012 R2 by default, and enter the DSRM password.

Specify the NetBIOS domain name. Default is fine.

Specify the file location of AD DS DB and LOG. Default is fine.

Check the options and move on to the next step.

Prerequisite check, there is no error here, just select the installation.

After the installation is completed, restart the operating system, and the login user will be prompted to log in using the domain name\ user name.
