Problem description

Main library environment:

The main database adds a data file to a tablespace, and the following error occurs in the slave database alert log:

Unable to add the data file

Analyze and locate the problem

Query related parameters such as DG data file conversion in the repository.

This parameter is set normally for AUTO-> in standby_file_management slave library.

The parameter of db_file_name_convert, which is also configured for file conversion between master and slave libraries, and is set normally.

Db_create_file_dest is + DATA à. Normally, the slave library does not need to configure this parameter, so it is speculated that this parameter is the cause of the problem (this conjecture is verified by testing in the local environment)

Solution

According to the above situation, two problems need to be solved.

(1) one is a new data file that has been created by the main database, but if an error is reported in the slave database, you need to modify the data file to be normal.

a. Change standby_file_management to MANUAL

b. Query the error path of the data file with the current problem in the standby database.

Select name from v$datafile where name like'% UNNAME%'

c. According to the queried directory, manually modify the data file to the normal directory and set standby_file_management to MANUAL-- > AUTO

(2) modify the db_create_file_dest parameter to be empty to prevent similar problems in the future
