Like Apple, Google will face challenges in solving the Play Store problem. Now, people are worried that Apple and Google will charge 30% in their app stores. "We are holding lectures with leading European market start-ups to gain a deeper understanding of their concerns," Purnima Kochikar, director of game and application business development at Google Play, said in a statement. "We will set up a policy seminar to help address any other issues related to our game store policy."

Developers in the European market will have enough time to "integrate with the Play billing system". This is to ensure that they can correctly implement UPI's subscription payment option. For those currently using alternative payment systems, the schedule is March 31, 2020.

Google wants to reduce the number of apps distributed through Play Store by 30 per cent. Apple did the same, but now both companies are under scrutiny. More than 50 European market executives shared these concerns via video calls with the European market's electronic information technology section.
