But is there nothing you can do about it? Of course not, you should know that ESXi has a lot of fun in all kinds of black Qunhui and openwrt players. Netizens have long been asked to work out a way to install it on ordinary machines. Although this article is my original, but the ideas and methods are not original. Write it down, just for the record. Let's start the normal installation process.

First of all, we find the latest version of the esxi file name from the official website. Note that it is the file name. Because downloading requires registration to fill in messy information, there is time to fill in this information, it has long been downloaded. After finding the latest version of the esxi file name, use bing to search for the file name, and then find the address to download from the results. Don't talk about it here and download it yourself. After the download is completed, we first need to carve the disk. In view of the fact that there is basically no optical drive now, we use the U disk to start, so the disk is also engraved on the U disk. Carve U disk first choice UltraISO, software please solve by yourself, a lot of search on the Internet. Open the downloaded esxi iso image with UltraISO.

Select Boot to write to the hard disk image

To insert the flash drive first, it will be displayed here. Select the correct drive letter and choose to write.

Usb-hdd is the preferred writing method, otherwise, if you start it, you will choose usb-zip again.

Wait a few minutes, and the write is complete.

All right, take the flash drive you just wrote to the machine you want to install. Open the machine bios settings, set to boot from the USB disk, this step will not, then more search. This screen appears when booting smoothly from the USB flash drive.

Select the first item, standard installation.

The program automatically runs down, unfortunately, there is no network card No Network Adapters error, can not continue.

Here we are going to start all over again, and we need to customize our own special installation disk.

The previous error is that there is no network card No Network Adapters, the machine must have a network card, but there is no driver for the network card in this installation disk. The Vmware official website does not provide hardware drivers that they do not recognize, but fortunately, a third party provides drivers in vib format, so all we have to do is integrate the third party drivers into the official installation image. To integrate the driver, we first need to figure out what the machine's network card is. I don't have a system installed on this machine here, so I use winpe to check it out. Winpe has AIDA64 in it, so you can easily check the hardware information.

AIDA64 shows that the network card of the machine is Realtek RTL8111. After getting this information, we go to the third-party website to download the vib driver package.

Third-party drivers are available on this site. If you can't find them here, you should use your hardware model plus vib to search Google and other places. I found the driver of RTL8111 in here.

We download it back, the download speed of this site is relatively slow, you can download the file name to bing search, download from other places faster.

The driver has also been downloaded, and now it's time to customize the installation disk. Here we choose ESXi-Customizer as the custom tool, which is stupid and does not need to use the command line like other tools. So far, the latest version 6.7 is supported. Although the tool is identified as version 5.X, it is still version 6.7 and does not affect its use. As for the source of the tool, please search and solve it by yourself. there is no copyright in this. Please take care of it by yourself. After downloading ESXi-Customizer and decompressing it, double-click ESXi-Customizer.cmd to open the customized program, which has a graphical interface

The first column selects the esxi image downloaded from the government.

The second column is the vib driver package that you just downloaded.

Click RUN after selection!

In a moment, it will tell you that the integration is done and prompt the path of the image after the integration.

Quickly use UltraISO to rewrite this image to the disk, and then restart the computer with a flash drive.

All right, it's normal this time, and there's no error without a network card. Here, follow the wizard step by step to install. There are too many pictures on the Internet, so there are no screenshots here.

It's all set up. Log in with the ip displayed on it.

Can log in normally and customize the installation disk successfully.

Ordinary machines are generally not supported by the network card driver, if there is an array card, and the array card driver is not within the scope of official support, you can also customize your own installation disk through this method.
