We talked about the concept of the performance test load model, so how to model the load model when we actually hit the ground? here's a summary of my modeling methods:

When modeling a scene, the most convenient and commonly used thing is that the project has been running online for a period of time, and there are enough logs as data sources for analysis. in such cases, there is generally a relatively fixed method to analyze the logs to obtain accurate model data. The other is the project that is ready to go online, which does not have any log for reference. In this case, it is generally compared with the similar project that is already running, and the closest project is found for simulation. The last one is a new business or product, which has neither historical data nor analogical projects or products. In this case, we can only model according to some classical modeling theories. This modeling method is mostly based on a certain perspective to observe the project or product, combined with modeling theory to model.

No matter which modeling method it is, according to the three-dimensional model proposed by us in the basic theory of modeling, the final determination is the three elements of the model: time, load, load object, in order to explain the following three problems:

1. The law of system operation: that is, the cycle and time of system operation, and determine the duration of the test.

two。 Load size to be simulated: how many users or throughput to test during the test

3. Load distribution: which features or pages to test and their proportion
