Android Chrome, Firefox and Opera advertising filtering methods, many novices are not very clear about this, in order to help you solve this problem, the following editor will explain in detail for you, people with this need can come to learn, I hope you can gain something.
Due to the limitation of mobile screen size, the mobile version of the website usually displays more concise content, which of course reduces or removes advertisements. But after all, there are many websites that do not have a special mobile version, or the mobile version of text advertising also takes up a lot of space. With Opera and Google working together, Opera mini no longer filters Google search ads. Chrome, Firefox and Opera mobile versions all have their own ad filtering features.
General method
Not Root:Adblock Plus for Android
Root:hosts and all the tools that can change hosts (such as AdAway).
Adblock Plus for Android is from the famous adblockplus.org. You can block advertisements on Wifi in non-Root environment (filtering in 3G environment after Root). Currently, you can only subscribe to rules, not custom. The disadvantage of * * is that it needs to reside in the background and takes up a lot of memory.
You can edit the rule file after Root:
/ data/data/org.adblockplus.android/files/patterns.ini
Out of the question: Adblock Plus vowed not to develop the Chrome version, but now there is not only Adblock plus for Chrome, but also Opera and K-Meleon.
Hosts belongs to the law, and its advantages and disadvantages are the same as those on PC. Hosts can only work on the domain name of a website. The IP address of the domain name that needs to be blocked is limited to 127.0.0.0 or 0.0.0.0. Unfortunately, it cannot be refined.
Android default hosts file location:
/ etc/hosts
Chrome for Android (root)
The desktop version of Chrome supports users' global css,Chrome for Android and inherits this feature. Global css, the limitation is obvious. But hiding part of the content can also save a lot of space for the mobile phone screen.
Custom.css location:
/ data/data/com.android.chrome/app_chrome/Default/User StyleSheets/Custom.css
Custom.css location for the PC version:
\ User Data\ Default\ User StyleSheets\ Custom.css
Firefox for Android
Like the desktop version, ABP is almost standard for Firefox. Customization is also not supported in the extended mobile version of Adblock Plus.
You can also edit the rule file after Root:
/ data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/xxxxxxx.dafault/adblockplus/patterns.ini
Of course, there are other extensions that support filtering. NoScript and Stylish also support the mobile version.
Opera Mobile (Oppon HD)
Opera Mobile can be regarded as Opera on PC, and ad filtering also inherits urlfilter.ini and custom.css (global). Setting method:
Opera:config-network- urlfilter file, select urlfilter.ini file location-Save
Opera:config-user prefs-local css file, select custom.css file location-Save.
There are also many filter rule feeds on the web, such as Opera Mobile Advertising filter list subscribers.
PC browsers disguise mobile phones to surf the Internet
As mentioned at the beginning, many websites have PC version and mobile version, and the code of the two versions is different. And some websites have different CSS codes in different browsers. For example, Google is obviously different in Chrome and Opera Mobile. Therefore, you can not directly apply the filtering rules of the PC version, it is better to customize the rules according to your browsing habits.
It is also easy to write filtering rules on the PC side, but there is one more step for the browser to disguise the mobile phone to surf the Internet.
Take Firefox as an example, you can change the browser's UserAgent through UserAgent Switcher extension, or by creating a "general.useragent.override" string. For more information, please refer to "Firefox manually changes UserAgent to disguise as a mobile phone or other browser".
The User Agent String of common browsers can be found at: http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/useragentstring.php
Google officially also stated that Chrome for Android's User-Agent: https://developers.google.com/chrome/mobile/docs/user-agent
The method of writing advertising filtering rules will not be discussed here. Browsers that use cloud compression, such as Opera mini and UC, are not discussed.
