1. Create a folder C:\ boot\ grub under the root directory of C disk

Extract the downloaded grub_for_dos-0.4.2. Copy all the contents to the grub directory.

two。 Modify the "C:\ boot\ grub\ menu.lst" file and add a line at the bottom as follows:

Title Install Fedora 7

Kernel (hd0,0) / isolinux/vmlinuz

Initrd (hd0,0) / isolinux/initrd.img

3. Turn on the Fedora 7 DVD mirror. Find the isolinux folder and copy the files vmlinuz and initrd.img to disk C.

Under the isolinux directory

That is: C:\ isolinux\

4. Copy the "grldr" file from the grub_for_dos-0.4.2 file to the C disk directory

That is: C:\

5. Modify the "boot.ini" file of disk C (startup support file for XP system)

Add a line at the bottom:

C:\ grldr= "install fc7"

6. Put the CD image of fedora core 7 DVD under the root directory of D disk.

7. Restart the system. Select at startup

"install fc7"

Swap partitions: swap partitions. Generally set to 2 times the size of memory
