As 9to5Mac previously reported, Apple is developing an Tile-like device that can use WWDC's new "find me" app launched yesterday to track users' personal belongings. Only those involved in the development of this product are called "B389".

Now, the first beta of iOS13 includes a device asset package with a product type of "Tag1 1mai 1". This type of asset bundle is used to pair devices by proximity, just as AirPod and HomePod can pair to a user's device. This reference was first discovered by Steve Mercer and confirmed by 9to5Mac.

Another asset found on iOS13beta1 also shows us what the device looks like. This may be a test model that is ignored in the operating system, but it matches the device description given by the developers.

The new product will be a label that can be affixed to anything-similar to other products, such as tiles. The tag will be paired with the user's iCloud account by being close to the iPhone, such as AirPods. When the user's device is too far away from the label, the user will be able to receive a notification to prevent them from forgetting the items on the label.
